Plans & limits

What each CertWatchr plan includes, how to upgrade, change or cancel, and what happens to your domains when a payment fails or you downgrade.

CertWatchr has three plans: Free, Starter and Pro. Current prices are on the pricing page.

What each plan includes

Capability Free Starter Pro

Alert threshold (days before expiry) fixed at 30 1–365 1–365
E-mail alerts and summary e-mail
Health score

Custom check schedule per domain
Webhooks (JSON, Slack, Teams)

Upgrading

  1. Go to Billing.
  2. Choose Starter or Pro, monthly or yearly, and complete the checkout.
  3. Your plan updates within seconds of the payment being confirmed.

Changing or cancelling

Use Billing → Manage subscription for everything after the first checkout: switching between Starter and Pro, switching between monthly and yearly, updating your card, and cancelling. It changes your existing subscription rather than starting a second one.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; the billing page shows the date. Until then you keep everything, and afterwards the account returns to Free. Nothing is deleted: your domains, history and settings are all still there if you subscribe again.

What happens on a downgrade

  • More domains than the new plan allows: they all keep being monitored. You just cannot add more until you are under the limit.
  • Alert thresholds: a domain keeps the number it was saved with until you edit it, at which point the Free plan's fixed 30 days applies.
  • Webhooks, the API and CT monitoring: stop as soon as the plan changes.

If a payment fails

Nothing stops immediately. You get an e-mail, Billing shows a warning, and the charge is retried over the following days. Update your card under Manage subscription and a successful retry clears the warning by itself. Only if every retry fails does the subscription end and the account return to Free.
