Notification centre
The bell in the header shows what needs your attention: expiring certificates, failed checks, billing and team changes. Starter and Pro.
The notification centre collects everything that needs your attention in one place. Click the bell at the top right of any page: a panel opens on the right with what is still open, the most urgent first. Available on Starter and Pro.
What you see
- The bell shows how many entries you have not read yet. It turns red when one of them is critical.
- The panel lists what is still open. Each entry links to the place where you fix it — the domain, the billing page, the team.
- Show all opens the full Notification centre page, with every entry from the last 90 days.
On a phone the panel takes the whole screen.
What appears in it
| Entry | Severity | Disappears from "Open" when … |
|---|---|---|
| Certificate expires soon (warning or critical), check failed | critical / warning | the certificate is renewed, or the next check succeeds |
| Renewal overdue, CAA blocks your CA, domain registration expiring, servers disagree | warning | the problem is gone |
| New certificate in CT logs, certificate renewed or changed | info | you have read it |
| Payment failed | critical | the payment goes through |
| Subscription ends, plan changed | warning / info | you renew, or have read it |
| Team: someone joined or left, your role changed, an invitation expired | info | you have read it |
| Unmonitored hostnames found in CT logs | info | you add or dismiss them |
| A webhook keeps failing | warning | the next delivery succeeds |
| More domains than your plan includes | warning | you are back under the limit |
No flood of repeats. A problem that is still open is one entry, updated each time it is seen again — not a new entry every day. If a warning becomes critical, the entry turns critical and shows up as unread again.
Read, open and resolved
- Read means you have seen it. Click ✓ next to an entry, or Mark all as read.
- Open means it is still true. Warnings and critical entries stay open until the problem is fixed, even once read — the list is what still needs doing. Info entries close as soon as you read them.
On a team
Every person has their own notification centre. An entry one colleague has read stays unread for the others. Certificate alerts reach everyone on the team, viewers included; billing goes to the owner, and new hostnames to everyone who can add domains.
Choosing what appears
Under Settings → Notifications → Which alerts you receive, the In the app column switches each certificate alert on or off for the notification centre, separately from e-mail. Below it you can switch off team changes and suggestions as a whole. Payment problems always appear.
The notification centre does not replace e-mail: alerts keep arriving by e-mail as before.
Free plan
On Free the bell shows a padlock and explains the notification centre. E-mail alerts work as usual.
